Welcome to Gunnery’s ''Irish” Guest House. My name is Sharon Rooker-Gunnery, born and bred in Dublin, Ireland and living in this beautiful town of Alkmaar for the last 26 years.
In 2007 my husband and I opened Gunnery’s Irish Pub which is situated under the Guest House. It is a warm and welcoming home from home pub and the “craic” is always great with locals and tourists alike.
To add to this atmosphere we decided to open a Guest House in 2022. We have created a place where families and groups travelling to Alkmaar can relax and enjoy the comforts of home in the city centre, have a Guinness, a bite to eat in the pub or on the terrace and enjoy a real Irish breakfast when they wake up the next day (available till 8 p.m. in the pub!) so no rush. 😊
